This is my go to cake! I make it a triple layer cake and use a raspberry frosting in the layers with the chocolate frosting on the outside. Absolutely the best cake recipe ever!! I am even able to make it without eggs for my husband who is allergic to eggs.

If you want to make vanilla buttercream icing, can you leave out the coco powder and use vanilla flavoring and still come out ok?
