I have made this French bread recipe several times and it always turns out great! I add some everything seasoning and it’s great with pasta or soups! Thanks for sharing this!

Outstanding recipe. Not only was it easy, but the taste was the best I’ve had. Definitely a keeper.

I’ve used this recipe so many times and it’s always beautiful and delicious. I was thinking maybe changing it up a bit. My granddaughters have made bread with me for the first time and they loved it!

I always add 1/4 tsp of sugar with my yeast and warm water and it’s always foamed. Hope this helps if you don’t usually add sugar.

In reply to Lisa.

Yummy, soft bread! It was easy to make. My parents toasted it, and we ate it right out of the oven.

Hi Jan! It is correct. This soft French bread recipe makes 3 large loaves and is super quick and easy and doesn’t need a long rising time so that is why there is more yeast. If you would like to use less yeast, you will need to let it rise for a longer period of time. I hope this helps!

Loved it both times. Cut one loaf into smaller pieces to make hoagie rolls for my son’s lunches. Very pleased.

Love this recipe. I was wondering if you can add herbs and garlic to dough?
